265 cuft 46 liter water capacity Industrial Gas Cylinder is Available - Effective October 7, 2011
You now have an option. Catalina Cylinders has offered the 150 cuft 28.9 liter water capacity cylinder with various thread configurations for some time now. We are pleased to announce that we have added the 265 cuft 46 liter water capacity cylinder to our industrial gas/specialty gas cylinder fleet. This cylinder is qualified as a US DOT-3AL2216 and TC-3ALM153 cylinder. This cylinder is available with different thread configurations. Chinese Approval of Catalina Cylinders - Effective January 10, 2011
Catalina Cylinders has been issued its "Manufacturing License of Special Equipment" for B1 pressure vessels (seamless aluminum alloy gas cylinders) for use in the People's Republic of China. This license is dated January 5, 2011. This license allows Catalina Cylinders to manufacture high pressure aluminum cylinders for use in China. Please note, US DOT-3AL design cylinders are approved to be manufactured by Catalina Cylinders for use in China, but the cylinders that are sold into China are marked in complete compliance with Chinese regulation. Chinese marking requirements are unlike those required by the US DOT. If you are interested in aluminum cylinders for use in China, please contact Catalina Cylinders and we'd be glad to assist you.

Korean Approval of Catalina Cylinders - Effective December 10, 2010
Catalina Cylinders has successfully passed its audit by the Korean Gas Safety Corporation (KGS) and has been re-registered as an approved foreign cylinder manufacturer by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy in Korea. All US DOT-3AL aluminum high pressure cylinders manufactured by Catalina Cylinders - West are acceptable for sale into and use in Korea. Please note that recently the required marking on the crowns of US DOT cylinders used in Korea has greatly changed (increased). Please contact Catalina Cylinders about your Korean aluminum cylinder needs and/or the change (increase) in required markings on the crowns of cylinders to be put in service in Korea.

California Facility Expansion - October 20, 2000
Catalina Cylinders is pleased to announce the completion of the second phase of capital expansion at our Garden Grove, California facility. With this expansion, we have doubled our production capacity to manufacture, test, finish and valve high pressure aluminum cylinders for the medical oxygen, SCUBA, beverage, industrial, life support and fire extinguisher markets.

Powder Coating - January 1, 1999
Catalina Cylinders is pleased to announce that all cylinder products are now available with a powder coat painted finish from both of our facilities. Powder coating offers a tough, durable finish. Lightweight Medical Cylinders - January 1, 1999
In January 1999, Catalina Cylinders began exclusively producing a "New and Improved Lightweight Oxygen Cylinder" (NILOC) in 4.38" diameter. Reduced weight has many advantages. For the new cylinder specifications, please see the Medical Oxygen Cylinders page.
