Catalina Cylinders Replacement Policy

  1. High and Low Pressure Cylinders manufactured by Catalina Cylinders will be replaced at no cost to the customer if, after evaluation of the product at the appropriate manufacturing facility, the product is determined to have a manufacturer defect. Catalina Cylinders shall not pay for shipment of products returned to our facilities unless agreed to prior to the returning of the products. If the product is found to contain a manufacturer defect, Catalina Cylinders shall pay for shipment of returned or replaced products to the customer.
  2. All returned products which are deemed “acceptable as manufactured” and “acceptable for service”, after evaluation at the appropriate facility, will be returned to the customer with documentation explaining the findings of the evaluation.
  3. Contacting Catalina Cylinders
If at any time the integrity of a product manufactured by Catalina Cylinders is in question, we request you immediately contact the appropriate manufacturing facility and ask to speak with a Return Authorization (RMA) representative:

Catalina Cylinders West (Garden Grove, CA): (714) 890-0999 – Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm PST
Catalina Cylinders East (Hampton, VA): (757) 896-9100 – Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm EST

Before calling, please have available the product identification marking and an explanation of your concerns about the product. For cylinders, the product identification marking is the complete crown stamping. The information you provide the RMA representative will determine if an RMA report should be generated and if the product(s) should be returned to Catalina Cylinders.

  1. Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number Issuance
If the RMA representative determines that the product of concern should be returned for evaluation, an RMA number and report will be generated.
  2. Returning Product
Do not return a product to Catalina Cylinders for evaluation or replacement without approval from a Catalina Cylinders RMA representative. An RMA number must be issued against the product prior to return. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the packaging in which the RMA product is to be returned. The location of concern on the product should be clearly identified. Not marking the RMA number and not identifying the area of concern on an RMA product may delay the evaluation process.

Do not ship RMA cylinders with accessories unless requested to do so by the RMA representative. Only ship an RMA cylinder with a valve if the valve is part of the concern of the product integrity. A cylinder with damaged threads that was valved should be returned with the valve. NEVER SHIP A PRESSURIZED (CHARGED) CYLINDER! VENT ALL PRESSURE FROM A CYLINDER AND LEAVE THE VALVE OPEN.

  1. Processing RMA Product
Please allow four weeks for the complete processing, evaluation and shipping, of RMA product. RMA products that are deemed to be acceptable after evaluation will be returned to the customer with documentation explaining the findings of the evaluation. At no time will a product of questionable integrity be returned to the customer.
